I'm Greg, the owner of Classic Cars Plus. I thought I'd share a bit about myself and why I started this online store.
My Father and Grandfather were both mechanics. I started helping out in the shop when I was about 13 years old and have been working on cars ever since.
My interest in classic cars began when I got involved in the local demo derbies. I had to look all over for cars and would find some really nice classic cars just waiting for someone to find. I didn't demo them, but was able to buy up some to repair.
The first classic car I bought was a 1977 Plymouth Volare'. Don't laugh, it was a 6 cylinder T-Top Coupe with a fold-down, rear seat. It was a floor-shift automatic with bucket seats. Since it had too small of an engine, I decided to buy a 64,000 mile 1969 Cadillac Eldorado.
The bench seat and 472 GM mill in the Eldorado just didn't make the ranks for a Muscle Car, so, I bought a 1966 Ford Galaxie. It was a 428 police interceptor care with bucket seats, floor console, factory disc brakes and A/C.
Three months later, I discovered a 1965 Coronet 440 Convertible with a 413 automatic, buckets and a floor shift. I had really liked the Galaxie, but after the Coronet Convertible, I've pretty much stuck with Mopars.
Along the way, I've met a lot of salvage yard owners. Recently, the state started offering salvage yard owners compensation for cleaning up (crushing out) their yards. Through that, I've been able to aquire a lot of classic cars and classic car parts.
I've been working on classic cars for a long time now and have become pretty experienced as to what parts go with which car and year.
Now, I've decided to get into the parts business full time. Since mostly everything saved was for classic cars, I have a lot of inventory and parts cars. If I don't have it, there is a big chance that I will know who does.
I am also always on the lookout for parts cars to purchase. If you have a parts car (even if it's not a mopar), please contact me.
